If you like spooky, I wish you could’ve been here tonight. I happened downstairs at about 11:00 tonight and realized it was extremely foggy outside. Like can’t see very far foggy. It was wonderful. So I went for a walk. Then I got my camera and I went for another one. A long one. Like an hour and a half. And got very cold. Because I think this fog is saying, “That’s the last of your fall so get your butt out here and enjoy it!” And I did. I took a lot of pictures (thank the lord for tripods) and these are two of them. They’re not my best, but they show the fog well. Plus, we have some pretty gnarly trees on campus so one looks wonderfully creepy.
So if you believe in ghosts or night creepers, you best have stayed indoors tonight. It got a little creepy out there on the far side of campus. Luckily, I could only take pictures where there was some light. – So wandering in the forest was not an option. Good thing too. I’d probably have gotten lost. Lost in a freezing, foggy forest at midnight in November without a phone or a way to tell the passage of time. I feel a movie scene coming on…
